Hard-wired phones are <br />located in the scale house. <br /> <br />6.1.8. Lighting <br />Lighting is provided to the office, the maintenance building, the on-site water well, <br />lunchroom trailer, scale house, at the leachate holding tank and within the LFG flare station. <br />During operating hours when light is limited at the beginning and end of the day in the winter, <br />lighting is provided by lights on the equipment and by the headlamps of site vehicles arranged <br />to illuminate the work area. Portable lights will be provided at the landfill as needed. <br /> <br />6.1.9. Safety Equipment <br />All site personnel are required to wear the following personal protection equipment <br />(PPE) issued by the landfill operator: <br />x Hard hat <br />x Safety vest with reflective tape <br />x Safety glasses <br />x Work boots <br /> <br />In addition to the above PPE, the landfill operator also makes available the following <br />PPE to all employees: <br />x Earplugs <br />x Dust masks <br />x Work gloves <br /> <br />First aid kits and fire extinguishers are located at the scale house and maintenance <br />building. Heavy equipment is equipped with fire extinguishers. <br /> <br />6.1.10. Personnel Requirements and Training <br />Required qualifications for site personnel are as follows: <br /> <br />x Solid Waste Site Manager – Performs responsible supervisory work for refuse disposal <br />operations. Minimum qualifications include either four years as an Equipment Operator
