3.2.2 Step 2—Identify the Goal(s)
The primary questions:
• What could be an alternate source of PCE in groundwater between the Site and
the downgradient domestic supply wells?
• What is the human health impact of the constituents of concern at the Site
related to VI?
Upon completion of the investigation, the following will be characterized:
• Evaluation of alternative VOC sources in groundwater;
• Quantify VOC concentrations in the subsurface and indoor air for the residential
and commercial worker receptors; and
• Provide information for the conceptual site model (CSM)
3.2.3 Step 3 —Identify the Information Inputs
Inputs to the decision include the type, quality, and quantity of data that will be
collected in order to make decisions. Data type refers to the matrix from which physical
and chemical data are collected as well as the presence or absence of special data
collection and analysis circumstances. Quality refers to the technical rigor that underlies
the collected data, which can be quantified or otherwise described through the precision,
accuracy, representativeness, completeness, comparability, and sensitivity (PARCCS)
considerations described below. Quantity refers to the amount of data necessary to
make appropriate decisions. PARCCS goals are discussed in Section 3.3 of this QAPP.
3.2.4 Step 4—Define the Boundaries of the Study
The Site is generally bound by the nearby roadways, including West Hammer Lane to
the north, Alexandria Place to the west, Brentwood Drive to the east, and residential
properties along Coral Lane to the south. The off-Site portion of the investigation will
be conducted along the northern and southern borders of West Hammer Lane, between
the Site and the impacted domestic supply wells.
The temporal boundary of investigation is assumed to be conducted in the second or
third quarters of 2026 to obtain data during the opposite season of previous
investigation. This time frame may change and is contingent on-Site access.
Appendix C 6
