In addition, determine if the shop towels observed in the compactor were soiled <br /> and remove any soiled textiles from the trash. <br /> Manage the waste according to Title 22 CCR. Use Safety Data Sheets (SDS), waste sampling and test results or <br /> other knowledge to support your hazardous waste determination. Waste testing must be done using methods <br /> specified in Title 22 CCR including sections 66261.20-24. Submit a statement and supporting documentation with <br /> your hazardous waste determination. <br /> (Continued from violation 38 above) <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately dispose of all used filters stored on-site and obtain all missing disposal records <br /> that can be found. Used, drained, metal filters not stored, handled and disposed of according to this section are <br /> regulated as hazardous waste. Provide a corrective action statement, disposal records and supporting documentation <br /> to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) within 30 days. If the oil filters are being taken <br /> as recycling, immediately start to store the bill of ladings when the waste leaves the site. Immediately submit the <br /> invoices from the third party contractor for used oil filters for 7/15/22 through 7/15/25. If there are no used oil filter <br /> records, immediately start maintaining all required records. <br /> Note: Metal shavings were observed during the inspection. Metal particles 100 microns or smaller in size must be <br /> handled and disposed of as hazardous waste if the metal is determined to be a hazardous waste. Metal particles <br /> larger than 100 microns in size can be recycled as scrap metal. <br /> An inspection checklist was provided to the facility operator on the day of inspection. A complete report was finished <br /> on August 26, 2025 and replaces the initial checklist. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting paperwork, <br /> by September 25,2025. <br /> To minimize person to person contact EHD is choosing to write the name of person receiving the report instead of <br /> having them sign. <br /> Starting July 1, 2025, all in-office CERS help will be provided at the EHD hourly rate ($179).
