SANsJOAQUIN Environmental Health Department <br /> COUNTY— <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Program Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> UNIFIRST CORP 1819 N HUNTER ST, STOCKTON July 15, 2025 <br /> 51 CA Code of Regulations 66262.34(d)(2) 3030034 -Tests and maintains all required safety equipment at the facility <br /> OBSERVATION: The facility did not maintain all required safety equipment: <br /> -Safety glasses dispenser was observed not maintained in the storage area for sorted soiled deliveries. <br /> -Emergency evacuation Map in the storage area for sorted soiled deliveries was observed not secured to the wall and not <br /> maintained. <br /> -Standing liquid was observed in the secondary containment pallet for the drums on line in the wastewater treatment <br /> area. <br /> -Secondary containment grates above the drum rinse area was observed not secured to the floor and was corroded and <br /> laying haphazardly across the trench. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All facility communications or alarm systems, fire protection equipment, spill control <br /> equipment, and decontamination equipment, where required, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to assure its <br /> proper operation in time of emergency. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Bring the all safety equipment into proper working order by repair, replacement or testing. <br /> Provide a corrective action statement to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a (Class 2)Violation. <br /> 59 CA Code of Regulations 66273.34 3030008 - UWH labeled all universal waste <br /> OBSERVATION: The facility has not labeled their universal waste (UW) as required by this section. The following <br /> universal waste was observed on-site with incomplete labeling: <br /> -Aerosols <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66273.34 Labeling/Marking <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the UW as required by this section. Various UW can be appropriately labeled: <br /> "Universal Waste - Batteries", "Universal Waste-Aerosols", "Universal Waste-Lamps" or"Universal Waste-Electronic <br /> Devices". Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department (EHD)within 30 days. <br /> This is a (Minor)Violation. <br /> 60 CA Code of Regulations 66273.35 3030011 - UWH accumulated universal waste for no longer than 1 year <br /> OBSERVATION: The facility could not demonstrate that universal waste has been stored on site for no longer than one <br /> year. The following UW was stored on-site: <br /> -Aerosols <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66273.35 Accumulation Time Limits <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Since it could not be demonstrated how long this UW was stored on site, immediately dispose <br /> of this UW in accordance with Title 22 California Code of Regulations. Provide a corrective action statement, the <br /> disposal record and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD) <br /> within 30 days. <br /> This is a (Class 2)Violation. <br /> 61 CA Health and Safety Code 25201.16(f) 3030051 - UWH meets all accumulation standards for universal waste aerosol <br /> cans <br /> OBSERVATION: The facility is managing universal waste (UW) aerosol can storage containers in a way that is out of <br /> compliance with this section. The aerosols storage container was observed with a hole in the lid and the container could <br /> not be securely closed during storage. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: California Health & Safety Code section 25201.16 <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Provide a lid that securely closes for the aerosol waste container.
