202 W. Mathews Road, French Camp Page 2 of 2
April 14, 2026
Development Title, Section 9-604.010(d) and following the engineer's design as mentioned in the
report.
Based on the information provided the EHD concurs with the proposed OWTS design as
described and illustrated in this report which includes the following highlighted design criteria:
4. Installation of the traffic-rated 1,200-gallon P&L Concrete, Inc., septic tank installed adjacent to
the handicap parking stall as illustrated in the proposed site map. Installation of the three (3) hole
d-box with minimum 5 feet tight line coming from the septic tank.
5. Leach line installation measuring 100 feet long following EHD OWTS Standards coming from the
three-hole d-box for the primary disposal field installed in the 10-foot-wide landscape strip running
parallel to Grove Tree Lane to the north. As stated in the report, the leach line area shall be
barricaded by a curb on the east side and a chain-linked fence on the west side of the leach line
area.
6. As mentioned in the report, the site should consider installing the disconnected tight line south of
the d-box running under the proposed driveway in the initial septic installation permit to prevent
disturbing the driveway for when the 100% replacement area is needed. The 100% replacement
area will be identical to the primary disposal field area and following EHD OWTS Standards.
7. Obtain an installation permit for the onsite wastewater treatment system (OWTS) from EHD.
Inspection is required before backfilling of OWTS excavations. Request inspection 24 hours in
advance by calling the inspection line (209) 953-7697. (SJC OWTS Standard Section 2)
8. It is the owner's responsibility to follow operation and maintenance plan to ensure the system
meets all requirements set forth in the design in conformity with San Joaquin County (OWTS)
Standard. Below are the main points listed in the Operations and Maintenance Plan described in
the report:
a. Fixtures should be checked in each restroom to ensure there is no leakage on a weekly
basis.
b. Two years after operation, the septic tank should be inspected by a qualified professional
to determine if the tank should be pumped.
c. Only shallow rooted plants/ shrubs, or grass should be planted in the landscape area to
prevent root intrusion into the perforated leach line pipe.
If you have any questions, please call Sastina Thammavongsa, Registered Environmental Health
Specialist, at (209) 616-3068.
Steven Shih, REHS-
Program Coordinator
CC: Bennie Mar Chun, 212 East Lafayette Street, Stockton CA 95203, (209) 462-6442
