Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health and have the <br />potential to cause foodborne illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of the food facility. <br />#6 Handwashing Facilities Supplied and Accessible <br />OBSERVATIONS: Front service station and back washing area hand sinks are lacking soap and paper towels dispensers. <br />Provide soap and paper towels dispensers mounted to the walls at both stations. Correct before operating. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Handwashing soap and towels or drying device shall be provided in dispensers dispensers shall be <br />maintained in good repair. (113953.2) Adequate facilities shall be provided for hand washing, food preparation and the washing of <br />utensils and equipment. (113953, 113953.1, 114067(f)) <br />#41 Plumbing Maintained; Approved Back Flow Device <br />OBSERVATIONS: Floor sink draining front service station soda machine, is not accessible. Provide accessible floor sink for <br />better cleaning and inspection. Correct before operating. <br />Pipe, draining the front cold hold unit at front service station, in the underneath floor sink, is lacking air gap. Provide air gap at <br />least 1 inch off the floor sink. Correct before operating. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: The potable water supply shall be protected with a backflow or back siphonage protection device, as <br />required by applicable plumbing codes. (114192) All plumbing and plumbing fixtures shall be installed in compliance with local <br />plumbing ordinances, shall be maintained so as to prevent any contamination, and shall be kept clean, fully operative, and in good <br />repair. Any hose used for conveying potable water shall be of approved materials, labeled, properly stored, and used for no other <br />purpose.
