On September 12, 2025 at approximately 12pm, (C)observed a large amount of rat droppings particularly <br /> on the shelf where the tea bags are located. Several product bags have been ripped open, indicating that rodents are actively <br /> present. <br /> This poses an immediate threat to the health and safety of the public, as food products are at risk of contamination. Someone <br /> needs to get out there and investigate this before someone gets seriously sick. <br /> VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7; 113700. <br /> All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health and have the <br /> potential to cause foodborne illness.All major violations must be corrected immediately.Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of the food facility. <br /> #23 Rodents, Insects or Animals Inside Facility <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Evidence of rat activity was observed. Droppings were observed on the floor and lowest shelves near the tea <br /> bags and dog food. Some traps are set in these areas but still I see droppings in these areas. No bags of food appeared opened <br /> by the rats. Clean up the droppings and sanitize the area. Increase pest control to maintain a pest free facility. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Each food facility shall be kept free of vermin:rodents(rats,mice),cockroaches,flies.(114259.1, 114259.4, <br /> 114259.5) <br /> #30 Food Storage/Display Properly Labeled <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Boxes of ramen noodles are being stored on the floor in the store. Raise all food items 6 inches above the <br /> floor. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Food shall be stored in approved containers and labeled as to contents. Food shall be stored at least 6" <br /> above the floor on approved shelving.
