In addition,personnel must be able to document dates of attendance at an annual 8- <br /> Ihour refresher and three days of fieldwork under a qualified supervisor.Failure to provide <br /> this documentation will prohibit entry to the active work area(s) (i.e., Exclusion Zone). <br /> �.2 Site Supervisor Training <br /> consistent with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 (e)(4), prior to arrival on-site, individuals <br /> designated as site supervisors require an additional eight hours of specialized training. <br /> 9.3 Initial Site Safety Orientation and HASP Review <br /> In addition to complying with 29 CFR 1910(e), site personnel will attend an initial safety <br /> orientation during which the HASP and applicable THAs will be reviewed prior to <br /> initiating field activities. This review will include the following: <br /> • Understanding the lines of authority regarding health and safety and site personnel <br /> roles and responsibilities; <br /> • Information of specific hazard agents related to the site and site operations will be <br /> discussed, such as health hazards of site chemicals and specific safety hazards of <br /> processes,tools, and equipment; <br /> • Training in the proper use, maintenance, and decon protocol of PPE and Level(s) <br /> of Protection; <br /> • Appropriate work practices and engineering controls to reduce/eliminate <br /> exposures to site hazards will be reviewed; <br /> • Personnel will be informed of means for normal site and emergency <br /> communication(s); <br /> • Air monitoring strategies will be discussed to include the frequency/types, action <br /> levels, sampling techniques,pre/post calibration techniques; <br /> SAC373 HASP 16 04/2/2026 <br />
