(KLE//VFELOER <br /> Bright People,Bight Solutions. <br /> 5.4 COMPARISON OF SITE DATA WITH BACKGROUND DATA <br /> Metals including arsenic are naturally occurring elements in California soils, which likely will be detected <br /> in the soil samples. Site-specific metal results will be compared with a literature such as the Kearney <br /> Foundation's Background Concentrations of Trace and Major Elements ion California Soils (Bradford, <br /> 2016). Arsenic will also be compared to Establishing Background Arsenic in Soil of the Urbanized San <br /> Francisco Bay Region (Duverge, 2011). If on-Site soil concentrations of metals are within the range of <br /> background concentrations, then the metals will be eliminated as COPC and will not be included in the <br /> human health screening evaluation. <br /> 5.5 IDENTIFICATION OF COPCS <br /> All soil and groundwater COPCs that are not eliminated by any of the above evaluations will be compared <br /> to Environmental Screening Levels (ESLs) for commercial/industrial and construction worker direct <br /> exposure published by the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board (SFRWQCB 2019). If <br /> COPCs exceed ESLs, EHD will be notified. <br /> 5.6 EVALUATION OF TENTATIVELY IDENTIFIED COMPOUNDS <br /> The validity of tentatively identified compounds(TICs)will be evaluated, both with respect to identity and <br /> concentration.
