This <br /> procedure applies to all Kleinfelder personnel who may be exposed to extremely <br /> warm temperatures, and absent a site/project-specific control plan, this subchapter <br /> should be provided in writing to affected employees. <br /> 5-08.2 Goals and Objectives <br /> Site personnel will be instructed in the identification of a heat stress victim, the first- <br /> aid treatment procedures for the victim, and the prevention of heat stress <br /> casualties. <br /> 5-08.3 References <br /> The following references were utilized in the development of this program <br /> • OSHA 29 CFR 1910.132 <br /> • National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration <br /> • American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) Threshold <br /> Limit Values <br /> 5-08.4 Responsibilities <br /> Kleinfelder will provide its employees with all necessary knowledge and training to <br /> complete their job tasks successfully. <br /> 5-08.4.1 Responsibility of VP of Health and Safety <br /> • Keeping up with knowledge about heat stress and maintaining an awareness of <br /> current regulatory requirements and good practices. <br /> • Evaluating hazards. <br /> • Evaluating the program. <br /> • Updating the written program, as needed. <br /> Copyright 2019 Kleinfelder, Inc.
