SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The scope of work designed to meet the objectives will include the following tasks: <br /> • Acquire an encroachment permit from the City of Stockton. <br /> • Acquire drilling permits from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (SJCEHD). <br /> • Mark boring locations for Underground Service Alert (USA) notification. <br /> • Prepare a Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan. <br /> • Conduct a pre-construction meeting with a representative from the City of Stockton Public <br /> Works Department. <br /> • Schedule a drilling subcontractor and notification of the Agencies having jurisdiction to <br /> inspect the work. <br /> • Advance one hydropunch boring (HP3), approximately 200 feet south of the Site, for <br /> collection of soil samples to an approximate depth of 30 feet bgs. <br /> • Further advance boring HP3 to a depth of 60 feet bgs for collection of groundwater samples <br /> at approximately 40 feet bgs and 60 feet bgs. <br /> • Advance one hydropunch boring (HP4) approximately 500 feet southeast of the Site to <br /> approximately 80 feet bgs for collection of groundwater samples from approximately 40 <br /> feet bgs, 60 feet bgs and 80 feet bgs <br /> • Laboratory analysis of soil and groundwater samples. <br /> • Evaluate data and prepare a report. <br /> SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION ACTIVITIES <br /> All boring and sampling activities will be performed under the direction of a State-Certified <br /> Engineering Geologist or Professional Geologist in accordance with applicable regulations and <br /> accepted engineering practice and protocol. Field procedures to guide field personnel during the <br /> conduct of field work are included in Appendix C. <br /> PRE-FIELD ACTIVITIES <br /> Prior to the initiation of drilling activities, FREY personnel will obtain an encroachment permit <br /> from the City of Stockton for advancement of two hydropunch borings within the City of <br /> Stockton's right-of-way. Upon acquisition of the encroachment permit, drilling permits will be <br /> obtained from the SJCEHD. <br /> Upon acquisition of the permits, USA will be notified of the date and location of the proposed <br /> boring activities. A Site-Specific Health and Safety plan will also be prepared in advance of the <br /> field activities. <br /> DIRECT PUSH SOIL SAMPLING <br /> Each boring will be hand augered to a depth of 5 feet bgs to assess the presence of any unmarked <br /> utilities or other shallow subsurface obstruction that may be present at the boring locations prior <br /> to advancement of the borings. Soil samples will be collected from boring HP3 using a discrete <br /> core sampling system designed for the direct push rig. Continuous core soil samples will be <br /> FREY Environmental,Inc. 9 Project No. 1095-01 <br />
