INFLUENT COLLECTION AND MANAGEMENT <br /> The following information describes each wastewater source, collection and management prior to <br /> treatment and disposal by the Package Treatment Plant. Wastewater management for CGS can be <br /> considered a septic tank effluent pumping (STEP) system. All tank Cut Sheets and related <br /> information are found in Appendix I. <br /> • Each Hero Rental Lodge (25 Total)will connect to its own 1.5k gallon, monolithic/traffic- <br /> rated P&L Concrete, Inc. septic tank installed under a concrete slab. The slab will serve as <br /> a foundation for the Lodges and as septic tank anti-buoyancy. All influent piping will be <br /> alongside each slab for easy clean-out accessibility, as illustrated on the attached Design <br /> Plans and described in the Notes. The riser and lid for the front compartment of each tank <br /> will be outside of the slab footprint for easy accessibility by a pumper truck. Effluent from <br /> these septic tanks gravity flow to their respective Lift Stations. The riser and lid for the <br /> second compartment of each tank will come through the slab and will be under each Hero <br /> Lodge, but accessible through a two-ft crawl space. <br /> • Septic tank effluent from all 25 Hero Lodges will gravity flow into five separate, 1.5k <br /> gallon, monolithic/traffic-rated Jensen Infrastructure, Inc. Lift Stations. The Site Plans <br /> illustrate which Hero Lodges gravity into each specified Lift Station. Each Lift Station tank <br /> will have low-head duplex pump systems, with alarm/control panels. Lift Stations #1, #2, <br /> #3 and#4 will pump septic tank effluent (STEP)to the l0k gallon settling and flow <br /> equalization tank directly north of the filter bed,then effluent to gravity flow to PTP. <br /> • The Clubhouse will have a 1.0k gallon, monolithic/traffic-rated Jensen Infrastructure, Inc. <br /> grease interceptor tank and one 1.5k gallon, monolithic/traffic-rated Jensen Infrastructure, <br /> Inc. septic tank to serve the kitchen and Clubhouse Restrooms, respectively. Effluent from <br /> the 1.0k gallon grease interceptor tank will flow into the 1.5k gallon tank. Influent from the <br /> Caretaker's Apartment, which will be upstairs from the Clubhouse, will flow into the 1.5k <br /> gallon Jensen tank. Effluent from these two tanks will gravity flow to Lift Station#4. <br /> • The Restroom/Showers Building influent will flow to a septic tank on the east side of this <br /> building. <br /> • The Laundry/Housekeeping Building septic tank will be installed on the west side of the <br /> Building. Effluent from this tank will gravity under the ingress/egress road and flow into <br /> the liquid side of the Restroom Building septic tank. The combined effluent will then <br /> gravity flow to Lift Station#1. <br /> • The Garage Building will have a sink for hand washing with drain water gravity flowing to <br /> Lift Station#4. <br /> • The marina holding tank is discussed in Section VIII. <br /> Page -5- <br /> Chesney Engineering, Inc. <br />
