Internal drainage is by Ci <br /> means of a series of shallow ditches . Present and previous site use <br /> is agricultural. <br /> The site is located on the easterly margin of the delta and the <br /> historic easterly boundary of tidal wet lands (per USGS MF lgfll) is <br /> > . <br /> :. There are some indications of ancient channels <br /> ;- crossing the site based on tonal contrasts on aerial photography. <br /> Topography from 1907--1908 (USGS WSP 619) indicates that prior <br /> ._to reclamation, Pixley and Disappointment Sloughs were the defined <br /> I <br /> drainage for the Bishop Tract areas. Telephone Cut and Bishop Cut <br /> ~`xe artificial channels cut through low-lying tidal wet lands. <br /> * Site topography from 1952 & 1953 (USGS "Lodi South" and "Terminous <br /> iiadrangles) indicates wild vegetation over much of the site east of <br /> =B, remnant Pixley Slough channels east of Thorton Road and the <br /> atdral Bear Creek channel crossing Thornton Road nearly a mile south <br /> k <br /> F <br />
