LEVI N Eā¢FRICKE
t
Based on the findings of the walk-through inspection and inter-
view with Mr. Bob Ripkin, the following Work Order to conduct an
Environmental Site Assessment was prepared.
r OBJECTIVE
The primary objective of the Environmental Site Assessment will
be to identify possible environmental concerns at the Site - in
r particular, to assess possible problems relating to chemical
applications, leakage, spillage, discharge and disposal. Such
problems could be the result of present or past operating prac-
tices at the Site, past land uses prior to the current ownership
of the Site, or migration of chemicals onto the Site from neigh-
boring areas. Given the historical agricultural usage of the
Site, the primary focus of the assessment will be on possible
impacts of agricultural chemicals associated with such use.
PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK
' The Environmental Site Assessment will involve a review of back-
ground data obtained during the Environmental Site Assessment
conducted of the Brookside Ranch property. Due to the proximity
of the Site to the Brookside Ranch property, regulatory agency
record review will be limited to review of such information
obtained during the assessment of the Brookside Ranch, as it per-
tains to the Site. An additional investigation, in the form of
interviews with appropriate PG&E officials, will be conducted
., concerning the PG&E transformer substation, located near the
northeast corner of the Site.
The Environmental Site Assessment will include the following
t' specific tasks:
Task I: Review Background Information on Site Setting and History
of Site Usage from Data Obtained During the Brookside
Ranch Site Assessment
., Task 2 : Conduct Field Inspection of Site and Neighboring Proper-
ties (Note: this task was completed by Mr. Scott Seyfried
a - on December 29 , 1988)
Task 3 : Review Regulatory Records Concerning Site and Neighboring
f Properties Obtained During Brookside Ranch Site Assess-
ment
r
' Task 4 : Develop a Health and Safety Plan for Site Sampling
Task 5: Conduct Sampling of Soil and Ground Water
-2-
