APPENDIX C <br />Specific Emergency Procedures: MEDICAL <br />• Do not attempt to move the injured person unless the person's life is threatened by <br />remaining in the area. <br />• Call 9-1-1 immediately and be prepared to provide the folloNving information: <br />• The nature of the emergency; <br />• The location of the emergency (e.g. address, major cross streets and call back number; <br />• State the exact location inside the building where the emergency has occurred; <br />• Describe as best as you're able the condition of the injured person; <br />• Stay on the telephone until the responding agency states it's okay to hang um <br />• Have another person notify the EAP Administrator. <br />• The EAP Administrator will instruct someone to wait outside the driveway apron to <br />direct them to the incident site. <br />Only those employees who have had First Aid/CPR/BBP training are authorized to <br />administer First Aid/CPR. <br />First aid/CPR response is limited to the following: <br />• Control external bleeding (must be familiar with Universal Precautions); <br />• Splint fractures; <br />• Provide comfort; <br />• Aid with managing injured person's pain; <br />• Performing CPR <br />Z <br />
