Our emergency evacuation procedures and assignments are designed to respond to many potential
emergencies that require them, including: fires, bomb threats, explosions, earthquake, or any other
event that may require an emergency evacuation.
1. Whenever an alarm is heard and the order is given to EVACUATE the building, proceed with
the evacuation using the nearest available exit (see posted evacuation maps). Do not take
extra time to gather personal belongings. If possible close but do not lock interior doors.
2. Please walk directly to the designated meeting area; meeting point A is the center of the
building at the edge of the parking lot, and meeting point B is the center of the building at the
edge of the parking lot.
3. Emergency Coordinators and/or Supervisors will take immediate account of all employees,
temporary and regular, and any known on-site visitors, vendors, and/or customers at the
facility. If you have not assembled at the designated location, the result could be that
emergency responders take unnecessary risks to try to rescue Noll / NorWesCo personnel
who are safe and not in need of rescuing.
Q. Under no circumstances are Noll 1 NorWesCo personnel to re-enter the building until
clearance has been received by the Emergency Coordinator from the Fire
Department/Emergency Responders_ Nor are employees to leave the premises unless
authorized by the Emergency Coordinator.
Procedures to Account for l`m la ees:
Trained Noll / NorWesCo evacuation personnel will assist in the safe and orderly evacuation of the
building. Once evacuation is complete, a roll call will be taken to ensure that all personnel and known
visitors are out of the building.
The employees selected are trained in the complete workplace layout and the escape routes
from the workplace.
The trained employees also keep updated employee rosters for roll call.
Before leaving the interior of the facility, the Noll i NorWesCo evacuation personnel will be
responsible for checking rooms and other enclosed spaces in the facility for employees who
may be trapped or otherwise unable to evacuate the area (to be done only if personal safety
is not at risk). A list of trained personnel appears below:
Noll I NorWesCo CMI Weather Guard have trained emelMency.responders who know how to:
Direct and assist in the safe and orderly emergency evacuation of the Noll I NorWesCo
facility.
Provide guidance and instruction for all types of emergency situations.
Trained in CPR, First -Aid and AED protocols.
Avoid hazardous areas during an emergency evacuation.
Rescue and First Aid Trained Personnel:
Rescue and first aid may be necessary during emergency situations. Circumstances calling for
rescue and/or first aid will be rendered by Noll / NorWesCoi designated first aid responders who have
received training through Red Cross. Designated first aid responders are to provide first aid
assistance within their capabilities to employees requiring it during emergency situations.
Rescue actions are to be taken by first aid responders only if this can be done without risk to personal
safety. Rescue actions that fall outside this description will be coordinated and effected by
professional emergency responders to the scene only_ Designated first aid responders are listed on
the Safety Bulletin Board.
33
