4. Describe procedures for notifying onsite emergency response personnel and outside agencies (e.g., Fire, Health, Police, State OES) needed during hazardous materials emergencies. In the event*personnel are present, verbal notification will be made. Evacuate away from the facility to the street. Describe mitigation or clean-up procedures to be implemented by onsite personnel in the event of a release, threatened release, fire or explosion involving hazardous materials. Indicate if the business has an onsite emergency response team (ERT) and if so, describe how the ERT will interact with outside emergency response agencies if additional assistance is required. The person discoveringthe spill will: Keep others out of the area, attempt to stop the flow of the leak, wear protective equipment and use spill kit to absorb the leak. If the leak/release is beyond the persons capabilities, they will call 9-1-1 immediately 8. Describe procedures for immediate inspection, isolation, and shutdown of equipment or systems that may be involved in a hazardous materials release or threatened release. Visual inspection of all affected areas or equipment will occur immediately. Any leaking containers or equipment will be isolated and appropriate mitigation procedures will be implemented.
