Vorster <br />Senior Engineer <br />California Regional Water Quality <br />Control Board <br />Central Valley Region <br />3201 S Street <br />Sacramento, CA 95816-7090 <br />Re: Letter of February 20, 1986, Complaint Investigation, <br />Holly Sugar Corporation, San Joaquin County - Item #3 <br />Dear Ms. Vorster: <br />Attached please find a copy of the analysis performed on lead levels <br />as addressed in Item #3 of the "Findings" portion of Mr. Azevedo's letter <br />of February 20, 1986. <br />A wet extract analysis for lead concentration (EPA Method 7421) was <br />conducted per the instructions outlined in Mr. Azevedo's letter. It should <br />be noted that the analysis was performed on a portion of the original core <br />samples as taken during the investigation of November 8, 1985. The sample <br />ID numbers (i.e., HS -1, 2, and 4), listed as "Client No.," were retained for <br />reference to the original set of analysis as performed by the same lab for <br />metal and organic screening. <br />The results of the testing series indicate the lead levels of the extract <br />are below the detection limit as indicated by the <0.01 mg/l concentration in <br />each of the samples. <br />HFG/cdj <br />Attach. <br />cc: Mr. Richard G.
