Vorster
Senior Engineer
California Regional Water
Quality Control Board
Central Valley Region
3201 S Street
Sacramento, CA 95816-7090
Dear Ms. Vorster:
pProavEl
MAY 2 3 1986
ENVIROMENTAL HEALTH
% PERMIT/SERVICES.
Attached please find responses to your memorandum of April 17, 1986,
and your findings of November 20, 1985.
Some of the responses you may already have. Please excuse the
duplication; Mr. Grinde's tragic death in a recent airplane accident near
Price, Utah has left us with some gaps in communication that we are attempting
to close as rapidly as possible.
Attached also is a copy of American Environmental Management's "HAZ-CAT"
sheets for the corn syrup plant chemicals. We understand that the chemicals
will be solidified and transported to Cattleman Hills for disposal. Details
of this plan will be transmitted to you as soon as they are received, and
prior to disposal. American Environmental will contact you directly with
planned removals.
We have not, as yet, received analysis on the soils at the apparent
fuel oil spills from Mr. Hugh McGrade at the State Department of Health
Services. The excavated dirt is still "red -tagged," awaiting notification
from them. The soil analyses will be forwarded to you upon receipt of this
information.
I will be out of the office for the next three weeks. Please address
any comments, suggestions, schedules to be met, etc., that must be handled
immediately to either Mr. Sid Win at this office, or Mr. L. R. Garcia at
our Tracy office.
Attach.
cc: Mr. Richard G*Az o
Mr. Renaldo Crookeve
Mr. L. R. Garcia
Restfully,
ohn A.
