r
1
Samples from the extraction well indicate that TPHg has dropped 80% and BTEX compounds have
idropped 96 to 100%. Samples indicate that the TPHg,BTEX,and Oxygenates are below drinking water
EPA standards.
The groundwater surface at the extraction well(EM-1)has been lowered T,the perimeter wells(GMX-1,
and MW2,3,4)have been lowered about 1.0' from the last event(see Dei-Tech Field Report, enclosed).
The groundwater hydraulic gradient is cone shaped centered at the extraction well EM-1.
Conclusions
The dramatic reduction in pollutant concentration is attributed to the pump and treat process. Pumping
was brought the plume to the surface for treatment and disposal. Although the levels from this quarter's
testing indicate that the pollutants are below drinking water standards it is not known yet if any latent
contaminants were left behind as the water table dropped due the pumping. On May 28, 2004 the
pumping was ceased in order to allow the water table to recover and to recollect any pollutants left
behind. Pumping resumed May 31, 2004.
SUNWEST
NOTE DECREASE WHEN
TPH g a s PUMPfrREAT
STARTED ON 41M04
50 ... ... ..... .. -
......... ..
.. . ........... ......
