LFR Levine-Fricke Revised <br /> Once the data required to assess thea applicability,ty, e ffectiveriess, and costs of the <br /> combined SVE/GOS technology for the Site has been collected, the Phase IV pilot test <br /> will be terminated <br /> 8.5 Phase IV Data Analysis <br /> After completion of the Phase IV SVE/GOS pilot test, the following will be performed <br /> • calculate the area of influence of the ozone spargnng wells <br /> • assess the effectiveness of the GOS in reducing concentrations within the <br /> gxoundwater <br /> 9.0 FIELD SAMPLING PLAN AND QUALITY ASSURANCE PROTOCOLS <br /> LFR will perform the required dual completion well mstallattion, groundwater sample <br /> collection, soil vapor sample collection, and other field activities following the <br /> guidelines of the Field Sampling Plan presented in Appendix A of the "Draft Remedial <br /> Investigation and Feasibility Study Work Plan (RI/FS Work Plan), Lodi, California," <br /> dated April 29, 2002 (LF 2002) A brief description of the protocol to be followed to <br /> complete the field activities relevant to the Pilot Study is presented below <br /> 9.1 SAMPLING STRATEGY AND <br /> APPROACH <br /> The field activities will consist of the following. <br /> • determining locations of underground utilities <br /> • installing dual completion wells using either a hollow-stem auger or air rotary <br /> casing hammer rig <br /> • dual completion well development <br /> • constructing the required SVE/GAS/GOS system <br /> • shakedown and startup of the SVE/GAS/GOS system <br /> collecting sort vapor and groundwater samples during the performance of Phase 1, <br /> Phase IT, and Phase 111 pilot tears (see below) <br /> A description of the protocol to be followed during implementation of field activities is <br /> presented in Section 8 2.
