Airport Way, Stockton Program: HW <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> CLASS I,CLASS Il,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> 20. (continued) coffee can of machine oil drippings was observed without a lid in the Machine Shop. A <br /> black plastic bag of graphite prepreg was observed unlabeled on top of a 55 gallon drum of graphite <br /> prepreg being removed from the Fiberglass Layup room. A black plastic bag of graphite prepreg was <br /> observed unlabeled in the Building 8 Layup room. Two white 5 gallon buckets of primer waste and a <br /> container of chromium contaminated mop water were Observed without labels in the Prime Line room. A <br /> 55 gallon drum of liquid waste paint related material was observed in the Prime Line room incorrectly <br /> labeled as chromium debris solid. Six 55 gallon drums of spent carbon were observed in the Hazardous <br /> Waste Storage area without a hazardous property marked. A 55 gallon drum of vent scrubber spent <br /> carbon was observed without the words 'hazardous waste' or a physical state or hazardous property <br /> listed. A 5 gallon bucket of fluoride rinse was observed in the laboratory storage area without a physical <br /> state, hazardous property, or the generator's name and address. Red cans for solvent wipe daily <br /> storage were observed throughout the facility with blank, faded, or missing hazardous waste labeling. <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> 1. the words "Hazardous Waste" <br /> 2. name and address of generator <br /> 3. hazardous properties (flammable, corrosive, reactive, toxic) <br /> 4. physical state (liquid, solid) <br /> 5. composition (contents) <br /> 6. accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required <br /> information. Since it cannot be determined how long the undated wastes (drum in Baghouse area, metal <br /> coffee can for skimmer waste, black plastic bags of graphite prepreg waste, two 5 gallon buckets of <br /> primer waste, chromium mop water) have been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste <br /> hauler to dispose of these wastes under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD by <br /> August 14, 2011. REPEAT VIOLATION <br /> 27. A 55 gallon drum of potassium cyanide was observed open, with additional waste placed in a black <br /> plastic bag on top of the drum. A metal coffee can of machine oil drippings was observed without a lid in <br /> the Machine Shop. A 55 gallon drum of solvent wipes was observed unlatched in the Paint Booth room. <br /> Two white 5 gallon buckets of primer waste and a container of chromium contaminated mop water were <br /> observed without lids in the Prime Line room. A 55 gallon drum of liquid waste paint related material <br /> was observed open in the Prime Line room. A red can of solvent wipes was observed open in the Metal <br /> Bond Layup area. All hazardous waste containers shall be kept closed at all times except when adding <br /> or removing waste. Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are <br /> closed when not adding or removing waste. REPEAT VIOLATION <br /> ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE($122). <br /> THIS FACILITY IS SUB REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> EHD Inspector.
