Used oil <br /> filters were observed draining into this spill container. <br /> -Liquid was observed in the metal spill containment for the used antifreeze and used oil filters, filling it approximately <br /> halfway. <br /> All facility communications or alarm systems, fire protection equipment, spill control equipment, and decontamination <br /> equipment, where required, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to assure its proper operation in time of <br /> emergency. Immediately begin this practice. Conduct all necessary maintenance on the fire extinguishing <br /> equipment. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> -A 55 gallon gray steel drum of used antifreeze was observed with an open bunghole. <br /> -A 55 gallon black steel drum of used oil was observed with an open filter resting in the bunghole. <br /> -A 55 gallon drum approximately 1/4 full of used oil was observed labeled as used oil filters,with no lid. <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close <br /> these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br /> -A 55 gallon gray steel drum of used antifreeze was observed in the shop with no accumulation start date. No <br /> disposal records were available for this waste. <br /> -Oily liquid was observed in the metal spill containment for the used oil drum, filling it approximately halfway. Used oil <br /> filters were observed draining into this spill container. It could not be determined if this liquid was pumped out with <br /> the used oil disposal. <br /> -Liquid was observed in the metal spill containment for the used antifreeze and used oil filters, filling it approximately <br /> halfway. No disposal records were available for this waste. <br /> Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored <br /> on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days.
