CONTINUATION FORM
OFFICIAL INSPECTION REPORT
Facility Address: 1011 N. Broadway, Stockton Page 6 of 8
length of time of storage could not be determined at time of this
inspection.
A generator shall mark or label UW to identify the type of UW. UW
shall be stored onsite no more than one year from the date the UW
was generated. A generator shall demonstrate the length of time a
UW has been stored on site by marking or labeling the UW with the
date when it first became a waste, an inventory system maintained
onsite, or any other method that clearly demonstrate the length of the
time the UW has been accumulated on site.
Immediately dispose the above UW in accordance to Title 22 UW
Rules, or demonstrate the above waste has been stored on site less
than one year. Submit evidence of correction or demonstration that it
has been stored onsite less than one year to EHD by April 10, 2010.
Begin and continue to label or mark all future UW to identify the type of
UW, and be able to demonstrate their length of storage since
becoming a waste.
NOTES
• EHD observed 7 spent lead acid batteries on a pallet (Photo #15)
outside the Spingolo truck repair shop. EHD recommends storing all
the spent lead acid batteries at a single location on a "covered" pallet
over a non-reactive, curbed and sealed surface such as coated
concrete or asphalt. EHD further recommends storing these batteries
indoor so they are not exposed to the elements, and therefore reduces
the chance of release to the environment should the batteries be
damaged. Please be aware that in order for you to remain exempt
from regulations under 66266.81 of Title 22, no more than 1 ton of
spent lead acid batteries can be stored onsite for a period no longer
than one year at any single location. A Fact Sheet for management of
spent lead acid batteries has been included for your information.
• Submit a copy of the 'Return to Compliance Certification"form (on the
back of the two inspection check list left with the owner on February
18, 2010. A copy of this form is also included for your convenience),
along with a written statement of each violation in this report and the
previous May 2009 OIR (see Page 7) was corrected, and any
supporting evidence of correction to EHD by April 10, 2010.
