IV Hearing Protection <br /> All employees will be required to wear hearing protection while in the facility. <br /> This protection will be provided by the company in a variety of styles for employee <br /> comfort. Any employee found not to be wearing hearing protection while in the facility <br /> will be subject to disciplinary action. All visitors will be required to wear hearing <br /> protection while in the facility. A copy of the company Hearing Conservation program is <br /> available to employees upon request. <br /> V Head Protection <br /> Employees will be required to wear protective helmets for impact and penetration <br /> hazards and in areas where falling objects are a danger. Where electrical conductors are <br /> exposed which could contact the head, helmets that reduce the hazard of electrical shock <br /> are to be worn. All helmets purchased will be ANSI Z89.1 approved. <br /> VI Foot Protection <br /> All employees are required to wear steel-toe safety shoes in the facility. All <br /> safety shoes purchased will comply with ANSI Z41. Employees may purchase shoes <br /> through the company or from an outside vendor. <br /> VII Hand Protection <br /> Hands will require protection against hazards such as skin absorption of harmful <br /> substances, severe cuts or lacerations, abrasions, punctures, etc. Where processes or <br /> the environment indicate added protection is necessary, the (Plant Manager Jesus <br /> Jimenez) will provide the necessary hand protection. <br /> VIII Respiratory Protection <br /> Where there is a danger of harmful dusts, fumes, gases, sprays, or vapors, the <br /> company shall attempt accepted engineering control measures (i.e. general and local <br /> ventilation or substitution of less toxic materials) to prevent atmospheric contamination. <br /> When effective controls are not feasible, appropriate respirator protection will be <br /> provided. <br /> Respirators will only be used by trained and authorized employees who perform <br /> hazardous work or work in hazardous atmospheres as determined by the (Salaried Job <br /> Ek. A copy of the company Respiratory Protection Program is available to all affected <br /> employees upon request. <br /> 4 <br />
