0 0
C.K.C./Allwaste removed the asphalt area impacted with oil using a Bobcat loader
equipped with a demo hammer. The asphalt removal activities were continued until visual
observations indicated that all impacted asphalt was removed. The removed asphalt was
placed into a hazardous waste stickered roll -off bin for transportation and disposal_
The asphalt removed during Task 3.0 will be replaced concurrently with conducting
other tasks described in the proposal.
TASK 5.0 - RELOCATION OF 55 -GALLON CAPACITY POLY DRUMS
CONTAINING CHEMICALS (Task Completed)
Approximately 200 55 -gallon capacity poly drums containing chemicals used during
the plating activities at the facility were stored outside the facility. These drums were
observed to be full and contained labels identifying the chemicals contained within each of
them. These drums were relocated from outside the facility into the AOT room and drilling
room located inside the facility using a forklift. Before these drums were relocated, 6 -mil
visqueen was placed on the floor of each of these rooms to prevent any spillage or leakage
from the drums. Approximately 100 drums are currently stored within each of these rooms.
TASK 6.0 - INVENTORY, IDENTIFY AND LABEL CHEMICALS AND
CONTAMINANTS (Task Completed)
An inventory of chemicals and contaminants present at the site was conducted by
C.K.C./Allwaste. These profiles will be submitted to the selected recycling or disposal
facilities to obtain their acceptance for handling the wastes.
Following the acceptance of fire wastes by the disposal facilities, C.K.C./Allwaste will -.
mobilize personnel and equipment to remove and dispose of the chemicals and contaminants
present at the site. The actual quantities of liquid and solid chemicals and contaminants
present at the site are presented on the inventory list included in Attachment B.
TASK 7.0 - REMOVAL OF IIAZARDOUS CREMICALS AND CONTAMINANTS
Liquid chemicals that are determined to be compatible will be pumped from their
containers for transportation and disposal using vacuum trucks.
