Pacific Coast MS Indus s Management Proce es <br />FMWaste Absorbent Material Handling Procedure <br />Aim <br />To insure that waste absorbent material is properly handled <br />Responsibility <br />All team members that are involved with the handling of waste absorbent material are <br />responsible for following this operational process control <br />The Management Representative is responsible for notifications and documentation <br />related to the transportation and disposal of all hazardous waste <br />Method <br />Read and understand the operational process control <br />Follow the directions provided in the process control <br />Report to supervisor if unable to comply with the directions of the process control for any <br />reason. <br />Records <br />Uniform Hazardous waste manifests <br />References <br />None Applicable <br />Operational Procedure for: Waste Absorbent Material Handling <br />• Waste Absorbent Material generated through the processes of RC.I is to be <br />handled and disposed of properly. <br />• Absorbent Waste Material is to be accumulated in the designated containers that <br />are labeled with the accumulation start date and the contents name <br />• No materials other than that which is named on the label are to be placed into the <br />barrels <br />• Waste Absorbent Material is to be removed from P.C.I. by a designated <br />Hazardous Materials Transporter and all necessary documentation is to be <br />completed by the Management Representative <br />• Records are to be maintained as required by government regulations for all <br />hazardous waste shipments <br />• Barrels and or storage containers and the storage area are to be inspected <br />whenever waste absorbent is added to the container and the check off sheet is to <br />be marked by the team member adding waste to the waste absorbent container <br />• The Management Representative is to be notified when any condition of the check <br />off sheet is abnormal <br />• All barrels are to be kept closed except during the transfer of materials <br />• The open top container ring is to be kept with the barrel to be used when filling is <br />complete <br />Issue: 2 October 10, 2008 Authorized By: Jasper Bullock Pagel. 1 <br />
