AM <br /> Document Number: 909 R 5003 <br /> PILKINGTON <br /> Procedure Rev: 5 Date: 5/24/07 <br /> EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROCEDURES <br /> The Plant Manager serves as the executive officer and communicates pertinent <br /> information to corporate management. <br /> The Environmental Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager and is responsible for <br /> the health and safety of all employees. The ENVIRONMENTAL Manager serves as a <br /> member of the facility's incident command team. Responsibilities include management <br /> of the facility compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations which <br /> includes the management of hazardous materials and waste. The ENVIRONMENTAL <br /> Manager also serves as the facility's hazardous material incident commander. If <br /> necessary, the ENVIRONMENTAL Manager may request assistance from the Office of <br /> Environmental Affairs located at the corporate headquarters in Toledo, Ohio. <br /> The Area Managers report directly to the Plant Manager and have direct responsibility <br /> for production, engineering projects and facility maintenance. The Area Managers shall <br /> provide technical assistance and coordinate use of materials/equipment necessary for <br /> response, as well as trained personnel to assist with incident control. <br /> The lead Security Officer is responsible for overall plant security and reports to the <br /> Human Resource Manager. In addition, the security officer is responsible for the general <br /> movement of traffic and for notifying the fire department, police, and paramedics that <br /> assistance is needed. <br /> The Human Resource Manager reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for <br /> issues related to personnel. <br /> Other personnel may be added to the team as the situation warrants. <br /> Manufacturing Operations <br /> To facilitate an understanding of the various manufacturing operations, a description of <br /> the main operating departments follows, along with pertinent information regarding the <br /> use and storage of hazardous materials. <br /> 909RS003 Rev. 5/20/04 <br />
