To facilitate an evacuation of the facility, the following goals should <br /> be kept in mind. <br /> • safe and orderly evacuation of plant personnel <br /> • an orderly shut down of equipment in a manner as to not jeopardize the safety <br /> of workers. <br /> • operational and administrative support for emergency response activities <br /> TYPES OF EMERGENCIES THAT MAY REQUIRE EVACUATION <br /> • fire <br /> • earthquake <br /> • chemical release <br /> • terrorism (i.e., bomb threats, taking of hostages) <br /> • transportation accident <br /> • explosion <br /> 909R5003 Rev. 5/20/04 <br />
