' Job No. 4780201 • • 3
' The State of California Water Resources Control Board document
entitled, "Leaking Underground Storage Tank Field Manual: Guidelines for
' Site Assessment, Cleanup and Underground Storage Tank Closure"
(October 18, 1989).
t
• SJCEHD guidelines.
1
The Site Safety Plan (SSP) presented in Appendix A outlines the Health and
tSafety protocol that will apply to all field activities. Prior to the commencement
of on-site activities, all individuals involved with on-site work will be required to
sign the Acknowledgment and Agreement Statement within the SSP. The
' proposed Scope of Work is as follows:
' • Installation of one 2-inch diameter groundwater monitoring well (MW-1)
near the northwestern corner of the subject site (area where the highest
' levels of soil impact have been identified during previous sampling
events).
' • Collect soil samples at five-foot intervals to characterize soil type. Soil
samples collected between 10 feet and the first encounter of
' groundwater will be analyzed for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as diesel
(TPHd), Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), and Benzene,
' Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Xylenes (BTEX), using EPA Test Methods
8015 and 8020.
• Development and sampling of well MW-1 in accordance with RWQCB
' and Local guidelines. The sample collected from well MW-1 will be
analyzed for TPHd, TPHg, BTEX, and Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether (MTBE)
' using EPA Test Methods 8015 and 8020.
• Place all drill cuttings, decontamination water, and well purge water in
Department of Transportation approved 55-gallon drums, pending
appropriate disposal.
• Prepare a report for your use and submittal to the SJCEHD.
E,C, Inc.
