EMERGENCY SITUATIONS ' In the event of an accident or emergency situation at the site, immediate action must be taken by the first person(s) to recognize the event. It is very important to remember that in any medical emergency, the assisting personnel must also think about their own safety. Entrance into an area to assist an injured individual, where there are chemical contaminants, must not take place without the proper PPE. First Aid equipment is located on-site inside the vehicles of the SSO and Field Team Leader. Immediately after emergency procedures as described in the following sections are implemented, the individuals listed below should be contacted at the indicated telephone numbers. If these individuals are not immediately available, a message should be left that details the ' following: your location, time of day, type of emergency, number of people involved, and intended course of action.
