EMERGENCY SITUATIONS <br /> ' In the event of an accident or emergency situation at the site, immediate action <br /> must be taken by the first person(s) to recognize the event. It is very important <br /> to remember that in any medical emergency, the assisting personnel must also <br /> think about their own safety. Entrance into an area to assist an injured <br /> individual, where there are chemical contaminants, must not take place without <br /> the proper PPE. First Aid equipment is located on-site inside the vehicles of the <br /> SSO and Field Team Leader. Immediately after emergency procedures as <br /> described in the following sections are implemented, the individuals listed below <br /> should be contacted at the indicated telephone numbers. If these individuals <br /> are not immediately available, a message should be left that details the <br /> ' following: your location, time of day, type of emergency, number of people <br /> involved, and intended course of action. <br /> ' Site Safety Officer: Brenda McNabb, E2C, Inc. (408) 286-6300 <br /> Health and Safety Manager: Ken Price, E2C, Inc. (408) 286-6300 <br /> ' A. Emergency Telephone Numbers <br /> ' Depending on the nature of the situation, one or more of the following <br /> authorities should be notified through telephone contact using one, or more, of <br /> ' the following telephone numbers. <br /> Emergencies involving injury: <br /> ' Local Police 911 <br /> State Police 911 <br /> ' Fire 911 <br /> Ambulance 911 <br /> Poison Center 1-800- 662-9886 <br /> The Poison Center should be contacted only in the event that an accident <br /> ' occurs involving the release of a hazardous substance (i.e. a chemical), and <br /> 911 response is delayed.
