A map showing the route to the <br /> Hospital is included at the end of this Safety Plan. The directions to the hospital are: <br /> Head South on S. American Street toward E. Worth Street (171 feet). <br /> Turn right onto E. Worth Street(0.1 miles). <br /> Turn right onto S. California Street(1.9 miles). <br /> St. Joseph's Medical Center will be on the right at 1800 N. California Street. <br /> 3, GENERAL SAFE WORK PRACTICES <br /> A. All personnel on site will receive the following instructions: <br /> 1. While on site, the following general work clothes are required: hard hat, safety <br /> glasses, chemical resistant safety boots, long pants, and cloth work clothing; <br /> 2. Keep hands away from face during times when they might be contaminated; <br /> 3. Do not eat, drink, or smoke during times when hands might be contaminated; <br /> 4. Stay clear of heavy machinery in operation unless involved in sampling; <br /> 5. Beware of the cables on the drilling rig. They can swing around and hit people. <br /> Wear your hard hat and stay aware when near the drill rig; and <br /> g. Take measures, such as installing barricades in order to keep the public out of the <br /> drilling and sampling areas. <br /> 4. HAZARDS <br /> 4.1 Site Hazards <br /> The known hazards associated with this site are: <br /> A. Trip or fall injury on rocks, gravel, or debris; <br /> B. Physical injury from sampling and drilling equipment; <br /> C. Physical injury from underground utilities; <br /> D. Physical injury due to drilling rig, if something breaks; and <br /> E. Chemical injury from contaminants potentially existing in soil and water. <br /> 4,2 Physical injury/Accident Hazards (A and B) <br /> A.
