ABILITY TO ACCEPT AND CARRY OUT RESPONSIBILITY FOR DIRECTION, <br />CONTROL, AND PLANNING: <br />Defined as: The ability to set realistic goals or make plans independently of others; the ability to <br />negotiate with, instruct or supervise people; and the ability to respond appropriately to changes in <br />the work conditions. <br />10% of job functions involve the ability to accept responsibility to plan own work pace or set goals <br />for completion and order of work performed within the scope of the responsibilities for the position. <br />The Janitor must be able to accomplish certain cleaning tasks, and clean assigned areas with <br />thoroughness, and according to established policies, procedures, and methods within a reasonable <br />time frame, or the designated shift. This involves the ability to respond appropriately to incidental <br />issues that create changes in the routine order of tasks performed. The Janitor accepts responsibility <br />for his/her actions, but has the flexibility to consult the supervisor for assistance with direction or <br />planning.
