Marley Cooling Tower Company <br />Groundwater Treatment System <br />San Joaquin County <br />Inspection Report <br />i <br />February 7, 2003 <br />including the water in the pipeline and clean water used in the pipe flushing <br />process, was stored on site for later treatment by the groundwater treatment <br />system. <br />9/26/02 10:00 ani * Mr. Lieb called SRT and said additional pH equipment is being installed; some <br />trenching will be done on site to accommodate the new pH equipment lines, <br />and then will be backfilled. Mr. Lieb said he would also call DTSC and update <br />them on this plan. <br />10:30 am * SRT talked to Mr. Mensah at DTSC, who said MCTC has been updating <br />DTSC on the status of the project. <br />* SRT updated Mr. Mensah on the 9/24 site visit. <br />* DTSC plans to visit the site later in this week, and SRT told Mr. Mensah that <br />he would like to visit site with DTSC also. <br />9/26/02 2:00 pm * Mr. Mensah called and said DTSC (Mr. Mensah and Mr. Tim Patenaude) will <br />make a site visit on Thursday 10/3 at 10 AM. SRT agreed to meet them onsite. <br />10/3/02 10:00 am to * DTSC staff (Mr. Mensah, Mr. Patenaude), Marley staff, attorneys, contractors <br />12:00 pm for system controls (Mr. Lich, Mr. Lingo, Mr. Karl Lytz and others, Aqua <br />Sierra Controls staff) and SRT met on site. Marley staff provided an overview <br />of system operation and discussed the fish kill incident. Marley staff also <br />discussed several potential system modifications as additional safeguards for <br />the pH control system. Marley will provide report(s) on the fish kill incident <br />and include specific recommendations for system modifications for agency <br />review.
