Stockton Public Utilities, Water Department, and <br /> the local EPA office shall be notified immediately for corrective action. It <br /> may become necessary to contract with an outside hazardous materials <br /> team to aid in soil containment. <br /> 3.6 Emergency Coordination: <br /> 3.6.1 In the event of an emergency (large spill), the following personnel shall <br /> take responsibility as Emergency Coordinator: <br /> • Environmental Health and Safety <br /> 7373 West Lane <br /> (209) 476-3593 <br /> • Operations Support Services Leader <br /> 7373 West Lane <br /> (209) 476-3212 <br /> • In the absence of the Safety Director or the Operations Support <br /> Services Leader, a designee will be appointed and listed with the <br /> Operator. <br /> 3.6.2 The home telephone number and address of those assigned as Emergency <br /> Coordinator will be maintained on file in the Operator's Directory. <br /> 3.6.3 In the event that an External Response Team is activated, the Hazardous <br /> Materials Incident Commander may temporarily assume the role of <br /> Emergency Coordinator. <br /> 3.6.4 The Emergency Coordinator is responsible for: <br /> 3.6.4.1 Ensuring that the appropriate alarms and communication <br /> systems are activated. <br /> 3.6.4.2 Identifying the character, source amount, and extent of any <br /> release materials and for immediately assessing the possible <br /> hazards to human health and the environment. <br /> 3.6.4.3 Coordinating any required notifications to state and local <br /> agencies. <br /> Fresno Revision dates: 09/12/96, 6125198, 3/30/00, 8/l/01,Stockton revision date 07/22/02 <br />
