Additional Muble-Wail
Tank Accessories
Tank Bottom Sumps
Tank bottom sumps are avail-
able to facilitate condensation
removal. The sumps are 4"
deep and must be installed
under a manway cover that
has a center fitting. Only one
sump may be used per tank.
Special instruction procedures
must be followed when install-
ing the tank with bottom sump.
Sumps are available for all
double-wall tank sizes and
models.
Tank Ladders
Fiberglas tanks are available
with a factory installed carbon
steel ladder. Attached to the
tank bottom with FRP mounting
lugs, the ladders are retained
at the top with FRP slip lugs
on the trunk of the manway
to allow for contraction and
expansion of metal ladders.
(Manway and ladder are sold
separately.)
Tank ladders are not recom-
mended on tanks 1,000 gallon
capacity and smaller. Because
of limited space, the ladders
interfere with tank entry.
Fiberglas° Fill lobe
' r13e r=
f Ih Igi as fill tubs screw into
the bottom of a 6" x4" double -
tapped reducer bushing which
is lnserted In a standard 6"
!til iir kC J!ItEU
mi'I 5s of vrse specified).
Bottom Deflector Rate
Deep
22" manway on 6', 8'. and 10" diameter tanks only
The top of the 4" opening is
closed with a 4" threaded plug
to facilitate shipment and testing.
When the 4" diameter
Fiberglas fill tube is specified,
the 6" NPT fitting must be
located in the center of the
manway cover or 6" NPT tank -
mounted fitting.
Note: Some tank tightness
test methods require removal
of the fill tube. The Fiberglas
fill tube cannot be easily
removed after it is installed.
-I_
reek., b"mmp
r., Mai sy Ccv..
MH
_ run rnme
pinl -. a' FRP i
mn.e
I M [ne
rr
I re, wps
urnn. o a"x em,om
Tank Bottom Sump
FRP slip lug
2Y,'
Carbon steel ladder
FRP universal
mounting lug
--n. Tubes are usually
furnished in standard lengths—
flared at one end, straight cut
at other. The straight end
should be cut on a 450 angle
and located 4" above the
bottom of the tank,
