It is <br /> imperative that personnel follow the guidelines established in this document for use of personal <br /> protective equipment and personal hygiene standards. <br /> 3.4.2.9 Absorption <br /> Absorption of some toxic material may occur through the penetration of the skin. <br /> Personnel shall therefore utilize personal protective equipment in accordance with this document. <br /> 3.5 TRAINING PROGRAM <br /> Comprehensive training and instruction is provided to employees on an initial and <br /> periodic basis. All employees and subcontractors involved in site work will have 40-Hour <br /> Hazardous Waste Operations Training and three days of actual Feld experience, in compliance <br /> with 29 CFR 1910.120. Eight-hour refresher training will be provided to all employees in the <br /> past 12 months who have had the 40-hour training. Onsite managers and supervisors will receive <br /> an additional eight hours of specialized training. All employees involved in working at this site <br /> will be given a lead awareness training class prior to entering the site. Copies of course <br /> materials, attendance records and certification of completion for each employee are available for <br /> inspection, if requested. <br /> Copies of training certificates for Geofon personnel who will be working on this Project <br /> will be kept onsite. All persons onsite shall read the Site Safety and Health Plan. Workers shall <br /> sign a statement stating that they have read and understood and agree to abide by the policies and <br /> procedures stated in this document. <br /> Employees will be required to attend daily site safety meetings. Each day prior to <br /> commencing work, a safety meeting shall be held to discuss safety considerations for the day and <br /> work to be performed. A safety topic shall be addressed each day from the following list: <br /> 15 <br />
