The Geofon <br /> Medical Surveillance Program is in full compliance with the requirements of OSHA Standard 29 <br /> CFR 1910.120 and CCR Title 8, Section 5192. Employees undergo examinations upon <br /> employment, annually, at termination, and, if deemed necessary, when exposed to high levels of <br /> hazardous materials. A licensed physician who is certified in Occupational Medicine by the <br /> American Board of Preventative Medicine performs the examinations. <br /> The physician will determine if any person exposed to high levels of hazardous <br /> substances is required to undergo a repeat medical examination at or before the conclusion of the <br /> project to determine the medical implications of this exposure. If air monitoring results indicate <br /> airborne levels above established guidelines, the physician will be notified to review present <br /> physicals and determine if levels warrant additional physical examinations. <br /> The chemicals at this site can affect specific organ systems producing characteristic <br /> health effects.
