This <br /> may be accomplished by various methods. <br /> Pre-task safety meetings may be conducted with the express purpose of informing <br /> employees of actual and/or potential hazards, protective measures required, and the required <br /> operating procedures associated with the task. In addition, employees will be reminded of the <br /> location of material safety data sheets and other pertinent hazard communication information. <br /> 3.29 REQUEST FOR INFORMATION <br /> Reasonable requests from employees for information regarding chemicals in use in the <br /> work place will be granted. <br /> In addition, Geofon must make the program available upon request to employees, <br /> designated employee representatives and OSHA. Access must be given in accordance with Cal- <br /> OSHA's Access to Employee Exposure and Medical Records rule (CCR, Title 8, Section 3204). <br /> The rule requires that access be given to employees and employee representatives in a reasonable <br /> time, place, and manner, but in no event later than 15 days after the request is made. OSHA is <br /> provided immediate access. <br /> It is up to the employer to assure that either a copy of the requested information is <br /> provided without cost, or facilities for photocopying are made available without cost, or the <br /> material is loaned to the individual for a reasonable time to enable a copy to be made. <br /> 37 <br />
