7.7 Work Limitations <br />Field personnel will not be allowed to eat, drink or smoke within the exclusion zone. <br />These activities will be permitted only in areas designated by the SHSC. <br />Due to the potential for upgrading to level C protection, no personnel utilizing <br />contact lenses for their eye correction will be allowed to work at the site during the <br />underground fuel piping removal. Prescription glasses must be worn at all times by <br />the personnel requiring eye correction. <br />Personnel with facial hair, except those with mustaches that do not interfere with <br />the proper fit of the respirator, will not be permitted into work areas as facial hair <br />interferes with fitting of the respirators. <br />Work will be performed during daylight hours only. <br />Formal periods of rest for personnel may be required in hot weather and/or during <br />strenuous activity. <br />7.8 Disposal of Materials Generated On Site <br />Contaminated or "clean" material, generated through the site works, may be stored <br />on the site property in a secured area. It will be the responsibility of the client to <br />dispose of both contaminated and "clean" materials to appropriate facilities. <br />8.0 EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROCEDURES <br />8.1 Site Emergency <br />In the event of an injury, fire/explosion, or accident of equipment failure, all <br />personnel shall follow the provisions of this Health and Safety Plan.
