Turbine Enclosures <br /> Fiberglass Turbine Enclosures provide access to critical equipment and <br /> serve as a termination point for piping. <br /> C O <br /> 113 3 O <br /> (d. t <br /> n v <br /> Our turbine enclosures are fiberglass — a proven material for long-term performance. compared to other <br /> unreinforced plastics and HDPE products, the rigid fiberglass construction minimizes deformation during s <br /> backfilling to help assure liquid-tight seals at fitting penetrations. <br /> Turbine enclosures must be mounted on top of a secondary containment collar. Primary piping is installed F <br /> from the submersible pump to the dispenser.When the double-wall piping is installed over the primary piping, <br /> the double-wall pipe connects to the turbine enclosure using optional fittings, available from CSI or your <br /> petroleum equipment distributor. In the event of an accidental spill from the primary piping,the spilled product <br /> will drain into the turbine enclosure and accumulate in the secondary containment collar. The secondary <br /> containment collar serves as a basin to allow early detection of leaks of the submersible pump or the product <br /> piping. <br /> When there is concern about the ingress of water at the collar/turbine enclosure seam, the turbine enclosure <br /> should be sealed to the secondary containment collar at the jobsite. Containment Solutions provides an <br /> alcohol compatible adhesive kit to make this connection. Continuous electronic monitoring of the secondary <br /> containment collar should be used to warn the operator of the accumulation of petroleum product before the <br /> liquid level rises above the collar/turbine enclosure seam. <br /> Turbine enclosures are available in 42'and 48"diameters with a minimum 2' length. To accommodate deeper <br /> burial depths, longer turbine enclosures are available in 1' increments. The turbine enclosure can be trimmed <br /> at the jobsite to adjust for the final burial depth. <br /> Note:For high groundwater conditions at or above subgrade,a sealable or watertight turbine enclosure should <br /> be used to prevent water infiltration. <br /> Warning: When a tank will be equipped with more than one turbine enclosure <br /> or manway riser, the tank may require special installation (deeper burial, <br /> additional anchor straps, etc.). Contact Tank Technical Support for specific <br /> installation details. Warning: a turbine enclosure constitutes a confined space. <br /> Never enter a turbine enclosure without proper training and OSHA-approved <br /> equipment. <br /> 25 <br />
