• Small liquid spills: <br /> Absorb with sand, clean fill or other noncombustible <br /> absorbent material. Place contaminated material in a DOT <br /> drum, cover and label it and dispose of it as soon as <br /> possible. <br /> • Large liquid spills: <br /> Place absorbent booms around spill to contain. Spread <br /> absorbent around and on spill. Clean up spill and <br /> dispose of contaminated materials in sealed containers. <br /> • Locate spills on Contractor's copy of drawing <br /> e. Reporting. If the spill is reportable under RCRA requirements <br /> and is not contained on-site, and/or human health or the <br /> environment is threatened, the Contractor shall call the <br /> following agencies in order: <br /> • State Environmental Protection Agency Emergency Response. <br /> • U.S. Coast Guard National Response Center at (800) 424- <br /> 8802. <br /> City of Salinas Fire Department <br /> Monterey County Environmental Health Department. <br /> f.
