Bid No. 85-1 <br /> * Contract No. 10A514 <br /> Page 2a of 48 <br /> MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> TANK: Payment for removing and properly disposing of the: underground tank <br /> shall be by lump sum. <br /> The lump sun contract price for tank removal shall include furnishing all <br /> labor,. tools,. equipment, materials, incidentals and for doing all work <br /> necessary to remove and properly dispose of the 10,000 gallon underground <br /> tank.. No further compensation resulting from- the tank removal will be <br /> allowed. <br /> The 1-ump sum contract price for concrete removal shall include furnishing <br /> all labor-,, tools, equipment,. materials, incidentals and. for doing. all work <br /> necessary to remove. and dispose of concrete, concrete island,. sump,. shed, <br /> pump, piping, appurtenances, service pole and drop line, and debris, and no <br /> further- compensation will be allowed.. <br /> TANK PRODUCT SAMPLE: Prior to removing any tank that contains any <br /> retrograde product,. the Contractor' shall obtain a sample and have it. analyzed <br /> for diesel fuel . This test shall conform to EPA- test method 8015. The- <br /> compatabiiity of this liquid waste shall be determined by and be- the <br /> Contractor's responsibility in the event they will be combined. with other ; <br /> waste: during. removal and hau.i i ng to a recycling facility/destruction facility. <br /> The hauler shall conform to all State- and local laws pertaining to the lawful <br /> managing and. hauling of hazardous, waste products. Caltrans- will provide an EPA <br /> Generator Identification Number in the: event hazardous. wastes must be removed. <br /> Payment for collecting- and analyzing tank product sample shall be- by bid <br /> items for collecting and for analyzing, the- sample. <br /> The bid item for collecting and for analyzing the tank product shall <br /> include furnishing all labor, tools, equipment and materials necessary to <br /> collect the tank product sample and transport the sample to the Contractor's <br /> laboratory. The laboratory shall provide the necessary labor, tools, equipment <br /> and materials to properly test the sample and provide the State with a written <br /> analysis, <br /> TANK PRODUCT CONTENTS: Payment- for removing and properly disposing of the <br /> product contents within the- tank shall be contract price per gallon. <br /> The contract price per gallon for removing and disposing of the product <br /> contents shall include furnishing all labor, tools, equipment,and materials, <br /> incidentals and for doing all work necessary to remove and properly dispose of <br /> the product contents within the tank and for providing the tank suitable for <br /> disposal . Caltrans will only ascertain that the underground tank is 10,000 <br /> gallon capacity, and. to our knowledge, the tank is inactive. The amount of <br /> product contents in the tank to be paid for will be the actual amount removed <br /> from the tank, not to exceed the tank capacity. No further compensation will <br /> be allowed. <br /> Payment for constructing and removing fence shall be by linear foot. <br />
