BiA. 86-1. <br /> Contract- No. 10A514 <br /> Page 30 of 48 <br /> The contract bid price per linear foot shall include all labor, tools, <br /> equipment,. materials and incidentals and for doing all work to construct a six <br /> foot minimum chain link fence around the perimeter of the excavation area, and <br /> later removing and disposing of same. <br /> GROUNDWATER AND SOIL SAMPLES: After the underground tank has been <br /> removed, the County representative and the Contract Administrator will examine <br /> the open site. If required, under the direction of the- County, the Contractor <br /> shall obtain soil samples. If groundwater is encountered, a sample will be <br /> taken- only atthe request of the County. The groundwater level should be <br /> encountered at a depth of greater than 30 feet. These samples shall be taken <br /> after the tank has- been removed or after contaminated soil has been removed <br /> from the excavated area, and as directed by the Contract Administrator. These- <br /> samples shall be collected and analyzed for diesel fuel oil using EPA method <br /> 8015. If it is determined by the County representative or Contract <br /> Administrator that other wastes may be present, then appropriate methods of <br /> analysis must be used to identify the material . <br /> Any deviation from the above test procedures herein shall be accompanied <br /> by a full explanation and with regulatory agency approval . Laboratory analysis <br /> results shall be evaluated using the California Administrative Code, Title 22,, <br /> Division- 4�, Chapter 30., Minimum Standards for Management of Hazardous and <br /> Extremely Hazardous Wastes, latest revision- as applicable. Laboratory results <br /> shall be reported- as mg/kg for soil' samples and- mg/liter for liquid samples .. <br /> SITE INVESTIGATION REPORT AND RECOMMENDATIONS: If contaminated material <br /> is found,. the Contractor shall provide an "Investigative Report", Eight copies <br /> of a draft report detailing the results of the site investigation and soil and <br /> water test results shall' be prepared and presented to Caltrans within 25 <br /> working days after final approval of this contract by the State. <br /> The Investigative Summary Report shall contain, but not be limited to: <br /> A. A complete description of all work done, including: <br /> 1. A description of the procedures used in obtaining and analyzing soil <br /> samples. <br /> 2. A description of the procedures used in obtaining and analyzing water <br /> samples; the condition of water samples immediately after recovering <br /> sample; and whether, in the opinion of the driller or geologist-, any <br /> significant mixing- of sediments and groundwater occurred before or <br /> during sampling.. <br /> 8.- Conclusions on the character and distribution (if any) of hazardous waste <br /> contamination of the site, and recommendations for removal of any waste. <br /> C. Classification of the material sampled into one or more of the waste <br /> categories shown in Table 2.1, Article 2, Subchapter 15, Chapter 3, Title <br /> 23, of the California Administrative Code. <br />
