Date: 4/12/95 • Tank ID# 2029
WRITTEN MONITORING PROCEDURES
UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK MONITORING PROGRAM
This monitoring program must be kept at the UST location at all times. The information on this
monitoring program are conditions of the operating permit. The permit holder must notify
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division(209)468-3420 within 30 days of any changes
to the monitoring procedures, unless required to obtain approval before making the change.
Required by Sections 2632(d)and 2641(h)CCR.
Facility Name: Pacific Bell
Facility Address: 4051 Newton Road, Stockton
A. Describe the frequency of performing the monitoring:
Tank-Daily
Piping-Daily
B. What methods and equipment, identified by name and model, will be used
for performing the monitoring:
Tank - Veeder-Root TLS-350
Piping -Veeder-Root TLS-350
C. Describe the location(s) where the monitoring will be performed (facility plot
plan should be attached): The monitoring will be performed at the site - the
TLS-350 alarm panel is located in the engine room and also is monitored
remotely by the Sacramento Fuel Unit.
D. List the name(s) and title(s) of the people responsible for performing the
monitoring and/or maintaining the equipment.
Site Manager, Pam Graham
Sacramento Fuel Unit, Jeff Kunz
E. Reporting Format for monitoring:
Inventory control monitoring of the fuel and long term tank monitoring for product leakage is
accomplished with in-tank continuous product monitoring provided through the installation of the
TLS-350 Tank Level Sensor manufactured by Veeder-Root.
The TLS-350 consists of a Computerized Inventory Monitor(CIM) and one Digital Sending Probe
(DSP)for each tank being monitored. The highly accurate, all electronic probe has no moving
parts for greater accuracy and less maintenance than other electro-mechanical,float-type devices.
A single CIM can handle multiple probes and continuously monitor each one, analyzing their
signals for liquid, temperature, depth and water level.
Base on this input, the CIM computes volumes and stores this information for remote polling. The
RE-232C Serial Interface Communication port permits access to TLS-350 information from remote
locations via telephone lines. This serial interface is capable of handling up to 16 polling stations
from centralized remote locations. The output of the serial port can be formatted for teletype or
computer(IBM-PC)interface.
