That radiation levels in unrestricted areas do not exceed the limits specified in the Code <br /> of Federal Regulations, title 10, part 20, section 20.1301. <br /> (b) Records of survey results shall be maintained for inspection. <br /> 42. Immediately after retracting the source from the patient into its shielded position in the remote <br /> afterloading device, a radiation survey shall be made of the patient and the remote afterloading device <br /> with a portable radiation detection survey instrument to confirm that the source has been removed <br /> from the patient. Records of each survey shall be maintained. <br /> 43. Treatment time calculations and data entry for remote afterloaders shall be individually verified by the <br /> responsible physician named on the license immediately prior to treatment <br /> 44. When engaging the services of a company for the use of a transportable High Dose Rate Afterloader, <br /> electrical interlock(s) on entrance door(s) to the remote afterloading device mom(s) shall be tested for <br /> proper operation prior to the first treatment of the day. Records of test results shall be maintained for <br /> inspection. <br /> 45. When engaging the services of a company for the use of a transportable High Dose Rate Afterloader, <br /> the licensee shall retain all responsibilities for the use of radioactive material authorized by this <br /> license. <br /> 46. This license does not authorize commercial distribution of radioactive material. <br /> 47. Production or processing of radiopharmaceuticals for the purpose of distribution to other licensees is <br /> not authorized by this license. <br /> 48. Radioactive materials shall be used by occupational workers in such a manner that the dose limits <br /> specified in Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 20, Subpart C (Sections 20.1201 through <br /> 20.1208) are not exceeded. <br /> 49. The licensee shall monitor occupational exposures to radiation and shall supply and require the use <br /> of individual monitoring devices by personnel as required by Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, <br /> Part 20, Section 20.1502 (a). <br /> 50. The licensee shall monitor occupational intakes of radioactive material by, and assess the committed <br /> effective dose equivalent to, individuals who may have exceeded or are likely to exceed, the limits <br /> specified in Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 20, Section 20.1502 (b). Suitable and <br /> timely measurements used for determination of such internal exposures shall be performed as specified <br /> by IOCFR 20.1204. <br />
