�Advanoed Interconnect Technologies <br />Emergency Response Plan <br />Page 8 <br />emergency location or the Manufacturing Managers office as <br />appropriate. <br />6.5. The _Emergency Response Coordinator will take the following actions <br />upon notification of a hazardous spill/release or threatened spill/release: <br />6.5.1. Respond immediately to the area of the emergency and assess the <br />magnitude of the spill/release and possible hazards to the general <br />public/facility personnel and the environment. It is the responsibility <br />of the ERC to determine if immediate outside notification or <br />assistance is required. <br />6.5.2. Determine whether a full or partial plant evacuation is required. it <br />necessary, evacuate the facility or portions of the facility by making <br />an announcement over the PA system and/or setting off the <br />general alarm. <br />6.5.3. If possible, the ERC will instruct properly trained personnel to stop <br />the discharge or release by: <br />♦ Closing valves or shutting off pumps; <br />♦ Changing position of containers so that the leak is at the <br />highest level; <br />6.5.4. Assemble and organize the Spill Cleanup Team. Direct them in <br />spill containment, cleanup and suppression measures, ensuring <br />proper protective equipment is being worn. <br />6.5.4.1.Only facility personnel who are properly trained, equipped <br />and authorized by the ERC may institute containment and <br />cleanup procedures. <br />• Absorbent materials will be used as necessary to contain <br />spilled material; <br />♦ If necessary, transfer spilled materials to another <br />container. <br />6.5.4.2.lf the ERC determines that the spill (because of size or <br />danger) is beyond the ability of Spill Cleanup Team, he must <br />call for professional help. (See Section 4.2) <br />6.5.5. Contact agencies for emergency response or medical assistance, if <br />needed, by calling 9-911. Coordinate emergency efforts of any <br />responding agencies. <br />
