0 0 <br /> New filter housings had been obtained prior to the inspection. They were installed and <br /> all leaks were eliminated. Spare filter housings are on hand to remedy any future <br /> problems if they occur. (see attached pictures) <br /> The acid filling area also has a large pent of spillage within secondary containment. <br /> Our standard procedures require all secondary containments to be maintained in a clean <br /> and dry condition. The containment was pumped into storage and the employees were <br /> retrained to keep all secondary containments clean and dry. (see attached pictures) <br /> In the bleach bottling area large pools of liqu9d were located outside the secondary <br /> containment in two different places. <br /> The liquid was cleaned up. To prevent this occurrence a curb will be poured outside the <br /> secondary containment to prevent any migration of liquid from secondary containment to <br /> the general warehouse area. <br /> #14. Spill control equipment, and/or decontamination equipment not provided. <br /> Eyewash equipment was not found in the following areas: Trailer truck that stores the <br /> used oil and drained used oil filters located near the east side of the facility. The <br /> maintenance shop where the waste adsorbent is located. <br /> Portable eye wash equipment has been purchased to be placed in the the maintenance <br /> shop and hazardous waste storage area. (see attached pictures) <br /> #20. Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> (1) 55-gallon container of waste absorbent located in the maintenance shop, (1) 55 gallon <br /> container of used oil located in the truck trailer next to the east fence line of the facility <br /> have hazardous waste labels on them that are missing information. A handout was <br /> provided for how to properly label containers of hazardous waste. <br /> The 55 gallon container of absorbent located in the maintenance shop was improperly <br /> labeled with a hazardous waste label. It was not contaminated absorbent but new unused <br /> absorbent. The handout was reviewed with all supervisors and affected employees. A <br /> properly labeled drum has been placed in the maintenance shop for used absorbent. The <br /> used oil container has been properly labeled. (see attached pictures) <br /> #23. Failed to store drained used oil filters in a closed container with the initial <br /> date of accumulation. <br /> Two drained used oil filters located in a drain pan on top of the used oil container were <br /> not stored in a closed container labeled as "Drained used oil filters" with the initial date <br /> of accumulation. <br /> A container properly labeled including the initial date of accumulation has been placed <br /> in the hazardous waste storage area. Maintenance personal have been instructed to keep <br /> the container closed except to place or withdraw filters. (see attached pictures) <br />
