iBANKS & CO <br /> t 6.03 LEAK DETECTORS INSTALLATION <br /> Banks & Co will test the operation of the LLD by installing a pressure <br /> gauge in the product pipe either at the STP or at the impact safety valve <br /> ' under the dispenser. We will turn on the dispenser and pressurize the piping. <br /> We will then simulate a leak in the product piping by openinq a valve. When <br /> the pressure has dropped to zero we will close the valve. We will then turn <br /> on the dispenser and watch the pressure gauge. If the LLD performs in <br /> ' accordance with Red Jacket's Engineering Report #RJ-21. (Copy attached) . <br /> 7.0 SAFETY SPECIFICATIONS <br /> ' 7.01 SITE SAFETY <br /> Banks & Co. has the responsibility for the safety of all personnel <br /> involved in the performance of work for each job. Banks & Co. also has the <br /> ' responsibility for preventing persons form entering the work site, excepting <br /> employees and other persons involved in the performance of the work. <br /> Banks & Co. has the responsibility for compliance with safety and health <br /> ' standards prescribed under the California Occupational Safety and Health Act, <br /> California Administrative Code, Title B. <br /> It shall be Banks & Co. responsibility to keep the excavated work site <br /> ' barricaded or closed to prevent entry by unauthorized persons, to be respon- <br /> sible for passage of Banks & Co. personnel or equipment, and to assure that <br /> those permitted to enter are aware of the hazards and familiar with the safety <br /> precautions to be followed. <br /> Specific Requirements: <br /> 1. A temporary barricade shall be erected a minimum of 6 feet from the <br /> outer expected limit for excavation activities. The barricade will <br /> consist of a minimum 4 feet high continuous barrier. Signs will be <br /> erected stating, "NO SMOKING". <br /> 2. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, hard hats, safety glasses and <br /> ' steel-shank and toed boots must be worn at all times within the bar- <br /> ricaded area. <br /> Banks & Co. shall conduct operations to avoid closing or obstructing any <br /> portion of any highway, road or other property until permits have been <br /> obtained from the proper authorities. If any of the above are required to be <br /> kept open or shall be rendered unsafe by tank removal procedures, Banks & Co. <br /> shall make such repairs and provide such temporary guards, bridges, lights and <br /> other signals as necessary. These shall be acceptable to the authorities <br /> having jurisdiction and to the site inspector. Banks & Co. shall make all <br /> necessary arrangements for the protection on the convenience of pedestrian <br /> traffic along the construction site, including temporary access to all <br /> ' business establishments, and pedestrian walkways as required by the site <br /> inspector. <br /> 7.02 FIRE PROTECTION AND SUPPRESSION <br /> ' Banks & Co. shall take all reasonable precautions to prevent fires on <br /> the work, and in the general vicinity of our operations, and shall be reasona- <br /> ble for all damages from fires due directly or indirectly to Banks & Co. 's own <br /> ' activities, our subcontractor's or our employees. Banks & Co. shall maintain <br /> all work areas free from unnecessary combustibles and obstructions to fire <br /> fighting access. <br /> Specific Requirements: <br /> 8 SITE SAFETY PLAN <br />
