' BANKS & CO <br /> The employee should be primarily concerned with his or her own safety <br /> and secondly with the safety of other employees and by-stander (or other <br /> things) around them. To insure on the job safety: <br /> ' 1. Know your job, use safe work practices and if you are unsure of any <br /> situation ASK your supervisor for directions. Better to be SAFE than <br /> sorry. <br /> 2. Understand the goal of each new task you undertake. Ignorance of the <br /> job at hand can prove fatal. <br /> 3. Be alert to changes in conditions which may affect your or someone <br /> ' else's safety. <br /> 4. Inform you supervisor and others around you of a potential hazard, then <br /> take the necessary actions to correct the problem. <br /> ' 5. Observe the work of others so that you may obtain a general idea of <br /> their job in relationship to your own. This will help you develop an <br /> understanding and awareness for all concerned and help prevent ac- <br /> cidents. <br /> ' 6. Participate in safe practices. This isn't just for the employer but for <br /> everyone attention and benefit. <br /> ' 12.00 GENERAL SAFETY RULES <br /> 12.01 INTRODUCTION <br /> ' The following rules, regulations and practices are established in the <br /> interest of safety and the prevention of injury and accidents. <br /> It is not only the required responsibility of supervisors but of all <br /> employees to adhere to these outlined rules and insure their compliance. <br /> Your employment by Banks & Co. is contingent upon your acceptance and <br /> ' adherence to these rules.
